Clare, Ireland — The Clare County Board has announced the quarter-final pots for both the Senior and Intermediate Football Championships, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting phase of the 2025 TUS Clare Club Championships.
Under the championship’s rallying cry “There is no hero like a local hero,” clubs across Clare are preparing for crucial knockout matches that will determine their fate in this year’s competition.
Senior Football Quarter-Final Draw
The Senior Championship quarter-final pots have been finalized with four teams seeded in Pot One and four in Pot Two.
Pot One contains:

- Kilmurry Ibrickane
- Lissycasey
- Cratloe
Pot Two features:
- St. Joseph’s Doora Barefield
- St. Breckan’s
- Ennistymon
- Winner of Preliminary Quarter-Final
Before the main quarter-final draw can take place, a preliminary quarter-final clash must be resolved. St. Joseph’s, Miltown Malbay will face Doonbeg in what promises to be a fiercely contested match scheduled for the weekend of August 30th-31st. The winner will join Pot Two for the main quarter-final draw.
Intermediate Football Quarter-Final Pots
The Intermediate Championship follows a similar structure with strong clubs vying for progression.
Pot One includes:

Pot Two consists of:
- Naomh Eoin
- Shannon Gaels

In the Intermediate preliminary quarter-final, Coolmeen will take on Michael Cusack’s during the same weekend of August 30th-31st, with the victor advancing to complete the Pot Two lineup.
Relegation Battles Take Shape
Beyond the championship contention, crucial relegation playoffs have been mapped out for both Senior and Intermediate grades.
Senior Football Relegation
The Senior relegation playoff will see the losers of the Kildysart vs. Kilmihil match face Wolfe Tones na Sionna in a high-stakes encounter to determine Senior status for next season.
Intermediate Football Relegation
In the Intermediate grade, the losers of Ennistymon vs. Liscannor will square off against O’Curry’s in their relegation playoff, with both teams fighting to maintain their Intermediate championship status.
